Who we are

This policy explains how Ambioxera Pty Ltd (ABN 20 659 671 637) ("Ambioxera", "we", "us") handles personal information. We are committed to handling personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to enquiries and do business with our customers and suppliers. This may include:

  • contact details such as email address, phone number and business address
  • your country and the details of your enquiry or order
  • records of our correspondence with you
  • information needed to prepare shipping and export documents

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information, through this website. Please do not include it in your enquiry.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you fill in our enquiry form, email or phone us, or deal with us as a customer, supplier or contractor. Sometimes we receive business contact details from a colleague of yours who has asked us to get in touch.

You can contact us anonymously or under a pseudonym for general questions, but we will need your details to send quotes or fulfil orders.

We will only send you news or updates if you ask for them, and you can stop them at any time. We do not sell personal information.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is needed for the purposes above, with:

  • freight, courier and customs providers who deliver your order
  • government agencies and regulators that issue or check export and import documents
  • service providers who host our website, email and enquiry form
  • our professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers
  • anyone else where the law requires or allows it

Overseas storage

Some of our service providers, such as website hosting, email and form providers, may store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. When we ship to customers overseas, their details are disclosed to carriers and authorities in the destination country. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect personal information.

Using this website

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics on it. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages visited, to keep the site secure and working.

Everything on this site, including its fonts, is served from our own website. Your browser does not connect to any other company’s servers when you visit.

Security and retention

We store personal information in secure systems with access limited to staff who need it. We keep business records for as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. If we cannot give you access, we will tell you why.
